Day One

Arrive in kathmandu city! you will be greeted by your guide and taken to the respective hotel of your choice. Your guide will brief you thoroughly on your upcoming trek

Day Two

take the scenic drive to ramechhap where all high season flights to lukla are based from.

4-5 Hour Drive

Day Three

fly to tenzing-hillary airport, lukla. the short twenty minute flight delivers you to the gateway of the himalayas. begin your trek to monjo. pass through the marvelous scenery of the dudh koshi valley and onto the famous phakding village. break for lunch and then carry on to monjo. tea houses, birds, mountains and prayer flags accompany you on your five hour trek.

Day Four

begin the 3-4 hour trek to namche bazaar. pass by the sagarmatha national park gates and cross the iconic tenzing hillary suspension bridge. after, the steep climb to namche begins. namche is the most prosperous village in the khumbu region.

Day Five

begin the 5 hour trek to tashinga. visit the sagarmatha national museum then slowly ascend to the village of khumjung which has a local clinic, school and small monastery. Descend from the village through blue pine forests and onto the village of tashinga

Day Six

begin the 4-5 hour trek to tengboche then onward to pangboche. cross a suspension bridge in the lee of a gigantic overhanging cliff, pass the small hamlet of phunki tenga for a tea break. follow a steep climb up through a forest and onto the famous tengboche monastery. descend towards deboche and towards picturesque pangboche,

Day Seven

full day excursion to ama dablam base camp, 4576m. 6-7 hours. ama dablam is known as the mother’s necklace. it is has an elegant pyramid shape, soaring ridges and steep faces. the climbing route follows the south-west ridge.

Day Eight

trek for 3-4 hours to dingboche. depart from pangboche and ascend towards dingboche. dinboche is a crucial place for adventurers to acclimatize and explore sherpa culture.

Day Nine

Trek 4 -5 hours to lobuche, pass by bibre’s yak pastures and dughla, another stopping point for trekkers. the trail steepens as you get closer to thukla. lobuche is another crucial point on the ebc trail for acclimatization.

Day Ten

the most important day of the trek and a 6-7 hour walk. an early start is essential to beat the clouds. head north-east along the khumbu glacier, through jumbled moraine and shattered rock. descend to gorak shep. from here trek for another few hours until you arrive at the world famous everest base camp sitting at 5364m. from here you will descend back to gorak shep.

Day Eleven

gorak shep is ideally placed for an ascent to kala pattar. trek for 7 hours. face a tough ascent of 2-3 hours until reaching the rocky summit of kala pattar, 5545m. descend to gorak shep and down to lobuche towards a flat valley bottom close to pheriche.

Day Twelve

trek for 5-6 hours to tashinga. descend to join the. valley of imja khola and past orsho towards pangboche. Descend to cross a deep forge before making a short climb to tengboche. descend to the river at phungithanga and then up to tashinga.

Day Thirteen

trek to monjo for five-6 hours. from kyanjuma, take a delightful undulating trail with some of the last high-altitude mountain views of the trek. descend to namche bazaar for a lunch break and back to the dudh koshi valley and towards monjo

Day Fourteen

trek to lukla. the perfect time to reflect and marvel at the journey so far. there is something very special about the setting. as you approach the airstrip, houses and hotels rapidly proliferate. on arrival, it is time to celebrate your achievement.

Day Fifteen

today, leave the mountains behind and fly back to kathmandu where you will be warmly received and transferred to the hotel.

Day Sixteen

optional half-day sightseeing tour of kathmandu. visit boudhanath stupa and pashupatinath temple. the two most important buddhist and hindu places of worship.

airport transfer for international flight
